The power of small steps (and no strategy document!)

I was delighted to be a guest at the London TED Salon earlier this year. The Salon is like a mini TED event, lasting about 4 hours, with the usual mix of 18 minute and shorter sessions from a great range of speakers. The star of the show for me was Pam Warhurst and her story of developing new relationships between people and food in the unlikely setting of ‘incredible edible Todmorden’.

I was particularly impressed and interested by the way Pam embraces emergence in her endeavours – a step at a time, not thinking too far ahead, using what works and building on it… Very interesting, very funny and very thought provoking. Well worth watching.
